Josef Irgmaier, piano and artistic director

Josef Irgmaier is a composer, pianist, and the founder of the ensemble Neulandler. He studied composition and music theory at the University of Music "Mozarteum" in Salzburg, Austria, and Chinese music at the Conservatory of Music in Shanghai, China. He writes vocal, solo, chamber, and orchestra music, much of it for variable instrumentation, and is a co-author of the New Sounds Cookbook. He is also pianist, bar pianist, church musician, répétiteur, teacher, actor, and arranger.
